The Gig
And it was a f**king great gig. Andrew was in a fair mood although not very talkative.
He was blabbing away more at the 99 Toronto gig.
As for Ben and Chris, well... all and all I liked them.
I think they did a good job and they fit in well. Who knows, maybe they'll all go
in a recording studio together. One can hope, no?? The smoke was almost as dense as
in 1999 and the overall atmosphere was electrified all along. Then again I was right in front of Chris
so I can't speak for the people in the back. The sound was pretty decent too, fairly clear.
It really was a great gig and that's all I can say about that. They pretty much covered all the bases and
a good time was had by all.Did I mention that I got
Chris Catalyst's guitar pick? Yes I am a lucky bastard to have an actual souvenir from them. HA!!
And props to The Warlocks. A tight sounding bunch that did a good job setting the mood
for the main event. Very dreamy soundscapes that reminded me of Mazzy Star at times.
But I can't help but think that they might have been on some sort of competition
with the Sisters on the smoke department. Aaahh.....What the hell do I know???
After the show, we headed to Le Passeport, a local bar that is Sisters friendly on any given
Saturday. On concert night, it was crazy. They were playing 2-4 Sisters songs every half-hour.
We all were in Sisters heaven. Add to this that the smoking ban hadn’t come into effect yet and
we could actually have a drink and a smoke indoors while listening and dancing to good music.......
Man did we have a blast!!!!!! It was a great day and night and early morning to be a Sisters fan.
So here are the pictures............. |
